Working Groups

Ibec Engineering Network members can tap into a number of cross sectoral working groups along with Government subsidised skills and training programmes, namely:

E2E Advanced Manufacturing Working Group: The group’s strategic objective is to achieve the full potential of the cluster, encourage and create an ecosystem that sustains the evolution of the industry. The group focus is around the issues of: Technology, Partnerships and People.

OHS/EHS: this working group support sharing of up to date information on key OHS/EHS trends impacting the sector, best practice knowledge sharing, networking with a 30-40 like-minded professionals and access to OHS/EHS discussion forum (180 professionals).

Leadership Development: this working group support the development of programmes for senior/middle managers to increase women in leadership. This group also offers an opportunity to Network with like-minded individuals, benchmarking and best practice sharing.

Skills: the working group supports the development of training programmes for the sector. Opportunity to feed into curriculum of National Apprenticeships. Companies will gain clarity on how to grow a more knowledgeable and enthusiastic workforce. Contribute to the development of new apprenticeships. Access to over 40 government subsidised upskilling programmes developed by the skills network over the past 10 years from NFQ level 5 to NFQ level 9. Programmes are delivered in partnership with Irelands third level sectors.

IR/HR Forum: The forum reviews and discusses issues of interest to the medtech and engineering sectors in Ireland and work with the Ibec Employer Relations Division. This forum will support the development of best practice sharing and knowledge/skills development as well as support collaboration amongst key stakeholders.
